Healing Deeply: From Relational Wounds to Inner Aliveness

My favorite clients to work with right now are those ready to take a deep dive into healing relational and traumatic wounds. This work isn’t a requirement to break free from chronic pain cycles, but it’s incredibly fulfilling and profoundly transformative. Healing at this level can help you feel more alive, open, and deeply connected—to yourself and to others.

I do this work, and I teach this work, because it has changed my life. It’s helped me feel more loving, grounded, and authentic, and I’m passionate about helping others reconnect with their own inner aliveness.

So, what exactly is “the work”? It can look different for everyone, but often, it’s about discovering and embracing opportunities for healing. These opportunities usually emerge organically, though those familiar with practices like Nicole Sachs’s JournalSpeak often have a helpful starting point for diving deeper.

The process typically involves identifying traits or responses you’d like to change and tracing them back to their origins. When was the first time you felt or acted this way? What shaped this response? What did your younger self need in those moments, and how can you meet that need now?

For example, you might notice a tendency to respond to certain people or situations with defensiveness, avoidance, or criticism. Through reflection, you may discover that these responses were protective mechanisms learned during childhood—ways you tried to feel safe in a world that sometimes felt overwhelming. By exploring these patterns with curiosity and compassion, you can begin to heal those younger parts of yourself and create new, healthier ways of relating to others and to yourself.

At its core, this is what the work means to me: healing from the inside out to create a life that’s more authentic, loving, and connected. It’s not always easy, but the rewards—inner peace, resilience, and deeper relationships—are immeasurable.

If this resonates with you, know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Healing is possible, and the life you long for is within reach.
