Reclaiming Our Value: Resisting Negative Messages and Embracing Our Worth
Learn how to counter negativity, reprogram limiting beliefs, and anchor yourself in your worth with practical strategies and community support.
Reclaiming Power Through Anger Work
Anger gets a bad reputation. It’s often seen as destructive or out of control. But anger, when used intentionally, is a powerful and necessary emotion. Anger is the antidote to fear—it reconnects us to our sense of agency and power. Where fear can leave us feeling small and helpless, anger helps us push back, reclaim space, and assert our boundaries.
Reclaiming Your Worth through Meditation
During challenging times, staying connected to our worth is essential. I created this meditation to help our trans community remember their inherent value, resist negative messages, and find moments of peace and self-love. Take a few minutes today to reconnect with yourself—you are worthy, always.
Supporting Trans Loved Ones During Hard Times
Let us know you are thinking of us, that you’re concerned about what’s happening, and that you’re here if we need it. But don’t ask us to process our feelings about it with you—unless we explicitly invite you to do so. Many of us don’t want to process what’s happening with others outside of the community, but we do want to know that you care.
Healing Deeply: From Relational Wounds to Inner Aliveness
I do this work, and I teach this work, because it has changed my life. It’s helped me feel more loving, grounded, and authentic, and I’m passionate about helping others reconnect with their own inner aliveness.
What To Do When Symptoms Flare
1. Pause and Acknowledge What’s Happening
The first step is to recognize and validate what you’re experiencing. Instead of trying to push through the pain or immediately “fix” it, take a moment to pause. Acknowledge the flare for what it is—a temporary increase in symptoms. This step helps reduce resistance, which can often add to the stress and tension around pain.
Try saying to yourself, “This is hard, but it’s temporary. My body is doing its best to protect me.”
Don’t Repress Joy, Either
In a world that often focuses on what’s wrong, joy can feel like a radical act. Many of us have been conditioned to downplay our joy—to keep it small, private, or hidden altogether. But joy is a powerful emotion, one that deserves space in our lives. Expressing joy nurtures our well-being and also inspires others to do the same.
